Martin exhibits life-sized Bowie hologram
In 1999 Martin Richardson was commissioned by David Bowie to record a lenticular image for the ‘hours’ album cover.
To achieve this Richardson directed and filmed twenty-three minutes of David Bowie using experimental 35mm movie sequences resulting in some dramatic footage seen here for the first time on the DVD.
The outcome was a special limited edition CD sleeve and a life size digital hologram, which was exhibited alongside many of Martin’s other works at The Air Gallery, London, in December 2006.
